The great invasion... in the world of the Alpha Howl library, most books take place AFTER it... some books, like Balro's quests and the tale of Jenna. Take place before or during the great invasion.
It all started by a band of rebels called "the order". The leaders of this rebellion grew stronger and started invading Europe. And they bribed news stations to not report this.
The order had poor fortifications. However, the leaders were hiding secrets up their sleeves. And that is, they knew about Medusa and her plans.
The order knew why the snakes hated the humans. And they forbidden any religion... including Druidism. They thought this would stop the snakes... it only made them more angry. The order had many riots... Christians, Jews, Muslims, and everyone gathered to start riots against the order. The order killed innocents to fight off riots. This made the snakes hasten their attack. The snakes wanted nothing more but just to live peacefully along the surface of Earth, they never wanted to kill innocents.
The order were overthrown and the snakes resumed their invasion.
The great invasion is what led to the extinction of humans. The first continent to be taken is Europe, due to most churches are built there. Medusa found churches as a challenge because churches refuse to worship Medusa. So Medusa ordered her army to whip the priests until their spines shown... and then: if the priest is alive, "thee shall be thrown by rocks until death."
The next continent was both South and North America, Especially USA. Medusa wished for "the land of the free" to have a 3 day sentence of slavery, then turned into a snake. Zanzos offered more rules and rewards, if they managed to do good work during their slave days, they would have 2 wishes plus early release. Medusa agreed to these rules. This is where the tale of Jenna takes place, the snakes invaded America plus Alaska and Hawaii during one solar eclipse, the eclipse offered them cover for their Roman strategy... intimidation. The Romans would intimidate their enemies with the clatter of their belts, most villages would hear it and just surrender. Well... thats what the snakes of the great invasion did, just not with belts.
Once the snakes took their prisoners... Jenna and Daniel were the only ones that managed to be released because of good behavior of slavery.
The third continent was Africa, Africa offered many supplies to the snake army. Snakes captured not by charge'n'targe, but by negotiating. Every African wanted to join the snake army because they offered strength, supplies, and freedom. And Africans offered their land.
Australia was taken ruthlessly by the snakes, Australians were tough and didn't give up their land. The snakes had no choice but to attack and destroy Australia. Some Australians like Rohiv yielded before the invasion on America.
The last place conquered was Asia, the largest Continent, the snakes started surrounding Russia until they had the place surrounded, and some humans put up a fight but still fell before the snakes.
And this event changed the history of humans and animals.
However, some say that Daniel wasn't the only one who survived the great invasion.
