Hatzun
Cleanser of evil
The wolven... terrifying creatures that once served Anu. Diu needed an army to combat this foe, and her choice for her army was wisely chosen...Hatzun, the cleanser of evil.
Hatzun was born in Diu's arms, taking on the form of a monkey! After being born, it only took a few hours for Hatzun to grow into an adult god. Diu armed him with a magical staff "The staff of Xibalba", a magical staff that can cleanse any evil.
Hatzun led the gods' charge into the wolven army. A battle took place there in eternity. In the end, the gods won, and Anu was all that stood in their path. Anu merely blew aside the other gods, but Hatzun dodged all of Anu's attacks. Distracting Anu long enough for DIu to shoot Anu back to the Underworld.
Hatzun was free, and he created the realm, "Xibalba", for evil to be contained. Of course, mortal affairs are none of Hatzun's business. Hatzun is far too busy for mortals, as he resides in Xibalba to hunt down the remaining wolven.
Hatzun is a god rarely mentioned by mortals, but to the gods, he acts as the greatest god to ever live.
Reality:
Hatzun is named after one of the Mayan Howler monkey gods, Hun Batz. His named means "one monkey" in the Mayan tongue, Yucatec.
To make a monkey a wise god was pretty conflicting to me. I feared that people will only think monkeys as banana eating, tree climbing, wild animals. It would be awkward for a monkey to be a wise god that cleanses evil. I decided Hatzun to be the wise god anyway; if people were to be stereotypical about monkeys, then I guessed that I will show them that monkeys are even more.
