Tajin
Tajin
The god of inspiration, motivation, and music
That thunder in the distance is not the sound of Zarus, nor the cries of war. Instead, it is the pounding of mighty drums. But who can be playing these drums that can be heard from so many miles away? Tajin, is that god. Unlike most gods,Tajin is a red-skinned demon that pounds four drums to inspire anyone to it's tempting sounds.
Tajin was not always a demon though... When Moonzere covered the land with snow and ice, Tajin was a mere hunter, he hunted the for the skins of mammoths, foxes, and other animals he could stumble on to. With these pelts, he created clothes, shelter, and then... a drum! Tajin would play his drum to help his fellow hunters follow him in storms and beacon them the way home. His drum inspired his hunters to keep moving through perilous storms and large obstacles.
One day though, Tajin got separated from his pack, his drums could not be heard by the hunters. He desperately searched through the storm but could only find a light gleaming from rocks. Curious, Tajin stepped in only to be face-to-face with a horrifying monster, a monster with the head, body, and arms of a bear but the tail, waist, and legs of a centipede. Rather then attacking, the monster actually welcomed Tajin to his empty realm.
Bellum gave warmth and food to Tajin, which made Tajin comfortable. Tajin, trusting Bellum, told him that his drums could inspire anyone. Bellum was intrigued by the drums. So intrigued, Bellum actually let Tajin join his army. But Tajin refused and wanted to regroup with his hunters. Bellum was outraged, but he was cunning. Bellum let Tajin go.
Tajin managed to regroup with the hunters, and hunters welcomed him back. But after a few days, Azbane placed a curse on Tajin that turned him into a demon. The hunters chased him off and Tajin lived his life in refuge, not even knowing that it was Bellum and Azbane that made him this way, Tajin hid in a sealed cave without seeing light.
While Tajin hid in the cave though, he managed to find a glimmering object... a relic of Zarus. Tajin split the relic, putting on piece in each of his drums. And his drums were shrouded with lightening. When he pounded the drums, his mind was cleared of doubt, despair, and fear...
Tajin went into Bellum's realm again. Serving as a drummer of war. In truth, Tajin himself was a god, but he thought he should serve a god before making a big step. When Bellum was called to Medusa's realm, Tajin followed. Tajin was appointed another battalion, the men recalled,
"I marched on the beach of blood and death, bullets flying into our shields, yet... I felt more alive than ever with the drummer behind us, every beat felt like a shockwave that removed the slightest sign of fear and doubt."
Reality:
Tajin is named after the Shinto god, "Raijin" whom was the god of thunder in Japan. It was said that his drums would make thunder appear. Tajin is in a similar fashion, but not identical.
Tajin was going to be a badger that stood on two feet, but it did not really fit in with Alpha mythology.
