What better weapon than one you can't see? The MK-18, or "Gorgon mirror" is, perhaps, the most devastating weapon the Pon Peters have ever created.
It was clear that with spears, shields, and mere guns. Medusa was not going to succeed. Medusa wanted a weapon that humans will all fear. She told the Pon Peters to invent for her... a weapon, of her fearful display.
The Pon Peters began working. Designing a weapon to be feared by everyone (except snakekind). The Pon Peters, after years, designed the weapon. They called it the "MK-18" but the imperial hoplites liked to call it the "gorgon mirror" as it looked like Medusa's head.
The Pon Peters tested it on human prisoners, more importantly, confederates. It's effects were astonishing, it petrified the humans, like Medusa's gaze. The perfect weapon. There was a downside to this though, it ran on a rare ore found only in the Demon lands... Demon ore.
In order to obtain these ores, Medusa would do two things, she would exchange several snakes with amnesia to convert to Terror Fold. Or, she would send thieves to steal demon ore from the Demon land mines.
This was one of the weapons the Pon Peters created that led to the downfall of the human race. It was made entirely of demon steel, a nearly indestructible alloy that could not be penetrated by bullets. While it can explode, the gorgon mirror was always under strict protection.
