The Medusa empire has the smartest people in the world, the Pon Peters. The Pon Peters were able to find a metal that can completely absorb bullets and explosions while remaining as light as cloth. What kind of metal is it? We have no idea, it's some sort of alloy.
The Medusa empire has magic, many voodoo priests use magic to their advantage, the Medusa empire had many magical abilities. In fact, the Medusa empire would do constant attack and hit hard on countries. For the voodoo priests and mages of the Medusa empire can revive dead snakes.
There are many other reasons as well, the Medusa empire is nearly 2X stronger then humans. They also constantly revived units.
